Receiving applications for exemption from anti-dumping duties on aluminum products from China

On September 23, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 2531⁄QD-BCT on the results of the final review of the application of anti-dumping measures on certain aluminum products originating from the People's Republic of China (case code ER01.AD05).

Pursuant to Clause 5, Article 1 of Circular No. 42/2023/TT-BCT dated December 28, 2023 of the Minister of Industry and Trade amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular No. 37/2019/TT-BCT dated November 29, 2019 of the Minister of Industry and Trade detailing a number of contents on trade defense measures, the Department of Trade Defense announces the receipt of dossiers requesting exemption from anti-dumping measures for a number of aluminum products originating from the People's Republic of China.

Accordingly, the goods proposed for exemption are certain aluminum products originating from the People's Republic of China and classified under the following HS codes: 7604.10.10, 7604.10.90, 7604.21.90, 7604.29.10 and 7604.29.90.

In case an enterprise that has been granted an exemption for 2024 is about to use up the granted exemption volume, the enterprise can submit a supplementary exemption dossier according to the provisions of Clause 4, Article 16 of Circular No. 37/2019/TT-BCT at any time in 2024.

Pursuant to Article 15 and Clause 3, Article 16 of Circular No. 37/2019/TT-BCT, the Trade Defense Department requests that enterprises submit exemption request dossiers before October 31, 2024 according to the following instructions:
