(Chinhphu.vn) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 989/QD-TTg approving the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
On September 16, 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 989/QD-TTg approving the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. The decision takes effect from September 16, 2024.

Major General Le Ngoc Chau, born on January 26, 1972, hails from Ta Thanh Oai commune, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi city. He holds a PhD in Law. Comrade Le Ngoc Chau has held the following positions: Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Mobile Police Command, Secretary of the Party Branch, Head of the Personnel and Organization Department, Mobile Police Command, Ministry of Public Security ; Deputy Commander of the Mobile Police Command; Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Deputy Commander of the Mobile Police Command, Ministry of Public Security; Director of the Hai Phong City Police Department; and Director of the Hai Duong Provincial Police Department.
In April 2022, Comrade Le Ngoc Chau was promoted to the rank of Major General by the President of Vietnam.
From March 2022 to August 2024, Major General Le Ngoc Chau served as a member of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Commander of the Mobile Police Command, Ministry of Public Security.
On August 27, 2024, the Central Party Secretariat decided to transfer and appoint Major General Le Ngoc Chau, Member of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Commander of the Mobile Police Command, Ministry of Public Security, to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

On September 4, 2024, the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council considered and discussed the proposal of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and elected Comrade Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to the position of Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee for the 17th term, 2021-2026, with an absolute majority of 100% of the votes.
The Hai Duong Provincial People's Council has passed a resolution confirming the election results for the position of Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee, 17th term, 2021-2026, for Comrade Le Ngoc Chau.
The Hai Duong Provincial People's Council assigned the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to complete the procedures and submit them to the Prime Minister for approval as prescribed. Previously, the Standing Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Central Party Secretariat to transfer and appoint Major General Le Ngoc Chau, Member of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Commander of the Mobile Police Command, Ministry of Public Security, to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
