The free market USD exchange rate has fallen below 25,000 VND.
On September 13th, the US dollar exchange rate on the free market continued to fall by approximately 160 dong compared to yesterday's session. Specifically, the buying price of each USD decreased to 24,990 dong, while the selling price was 25,080 dong.
Compared to the peak of 26,000 VND/USD reached in June this year, the free market USD price has now fallen to nearly 1,000 VND. The difference between the buying and selling rates in the unofficial market has decreased to approximately 90 VND.
The State Bank of Vietnam announced that the central exchange rate continued to decrease by 22 dong compared to yesterday's session, falling to 24,172 dong/USD. With a +/-5% margin, the ceiling exchange rate is 25,380 dong/USD and the floor exchange rate is 22,963 dong/USD.
The USD/VND exchange rate at Vietcombank is listed at 24,360 - 24,730 VND for buying and selling respectively, also down from the previous session. The recent sharp decline in the free market exchange rate has also helped narrow the gap with the interbank USD price.

In addition, the National Cyber Security Association (NCA) has launched the nTrust anti-phishing application, which helps detect signs of fraud by checking phone numbers, money transfer accounts, links, and scanning QR codes. When suspicious activity is detected, users can enter information about the suspicious phone number, account number, link, or app and send it to the center.
Currently, the nTrust anti-fraud database has over one million records, containing information on fraudulent phone numbers, accounts, and websites, compiled from verified data sources of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the State Bank of Vietnam, and member cybersecurity organizations of the Association.
Traffic adjustments on National Highway 22, Hoc Mon District
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transportation announces traffic adjustments on National Highway 22 in Hoc Mon District to facilitate the construction of the Ba Trieu road section (from National Highway 22 to Ba Trieu Canal), part of the Tran Van Muoi road expansion and upgrade project.
Specifically, cars and three-wheeled vehicles are prohibited from traveling on Ba Trieu Street (the section from the parallel road to National Highway 22 to Ba Trieu Canal), except for vehicles belonging to local residents. The ban will be in effect from September 15th to December 30th, 2024.
Suggested alternative routes: Ba Trieu Street - parallel road to National Highway 22 - Le Thi Ha Street - Quang Trung Street - Ba Trieu Street and vice versa; Ba Trieu Street - parallel road to National Highway 22 - Ly Thuong Kiet Street - Quang Trung Street - Ba Trieu Street and vice versa.
In addition, the department also adjusted traffic at the intersection of National Highway 22 - Duong Cong Khi Street - Le Loi Street - Duong Cong Khi Extension to reduce traffic accidents and limit traffic congestion.
Ho Chi Minh City opens 60 more private vaccination points offering free measles vaccinations for children.

According to news from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, starting September 16th, an additional 60 measles vaccination points will be established at private medical facilities (operating continuously, including Saturdays and Sundays), aiming to provide the most convenient conditions for parents to bring their children for vaccination.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City branch of Vietnam Vaccine Joint Stock Company and FPT Long Chau Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company had sent letters to the Department of Health expressing their desire to participate in the free measles vaccination campaign for children, following the guidelines of the health sector.
The Department of Health requested the two companies to direct their affiliated vaccination facilities to coordinate with local health centers to implement the free measles vaccination campaign until its conclusion. The city's vaccine supply will be provided by the local health centers.
