MU is determined to buy Baleba.
Following the Grimsby Town disaster in the 2025/26 League Cup, Manchester United officials decided to resume negotiations to buy midfielder Carlos Baleba.

Manchester United viewed Baleba as a priority to strengthen their midfield, but previous discussions with Brighton failed to reach an agreement.
Brighton's asking price of £100 million is unrealistic. Manchester United will try to negotiate to bring the price of the Cameroonian midfielder down to the lowest possible level.
According to MEN , Manchester United have a chance to sign Baleba when the English football transfer window closes on September 1st. The "Red Devils" could influence the 21-year-old to request a departure.
Milan negotiates for Nkunku.
In an effort to strengthen their squad before the summer transfer window closes, AC Milan are rushing to finalize the signing of Christopher Nkunku.

Negotiations between Milan and Chelsea are progressing well. The Rossoneri are willing to pay for Nkunku as requested by the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup champions.
Chelsea needs to sell Nkunku and several other players to make way for Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons, avoiding potential problems with Sustainable Profits regulations.
Nkunku himself expressed his desire to move to Milan after carefully considering various options from across Europe.
Newcastle want Gallagher
According to Spanish media reports, after Crystal Palace, Newcastle has also officially expressed interest in bringing Conor Gallagher back to English football .

Newcastle currently have only 1 point after 2 Premier League matches in the 2025/26 season, despite playing well. Manager Eddie Howe wants to bring in more players to strengthen the midfield.
Gallagher stands out for his fighting spirit, willingness to engage in physical challenges, and excellent passing ability. However, he is not a good fit for Atletico Madrid.
Diego Simeone has opened the door for Gallagher to leave. Now, Newcastle needs to convince Atletico with a higher price than Crystal Palace.
Along with Nkunku, AC Milan are in contact with Man City regarding Manuel Akanji – who recently rejected a move to Galatasaray. Andreas Christensen (Barcelona) is another option for the "Rossoneri".
Chelsea are not yet ready to accept Bayern Munich's offer for Nicolas Jackson , and are waiting to see how the Isak rebellion at Newcastle unfolds.
- Juventus and PSG have taken another step in negotiations for Randal Kolo Muani . The total price is € 60 million – including a €5 million loan fee and a mandatory purchase clause of €55 million.
- Sunderland has just submitted an offer to Bologna for center-back Jhon Lucium i , worth €28 million plus a 10% profit on any future transfer.
- Bayer Leverkusen are considering signing Newcastle's Sven Botman to replace Piero Hincapi .
Wolves have agreed to sell Fabio Silva to Borussia Dortmund for €25 million. Medical tests and contract signings are underway.
Real Madrid are reportedly pursuing a zero-cost transfer for Dayot Upamecano , who has one year remaining on his contract with Bayern Munich but has yet to renew it.
According to Italian reports, Newcastle are inquiring about signing Dusan Vlahovic , regardless of whether the Magpies sell Isak or not.
Real Madrid have chosen Kees Smit to replace Dani Ceballos. AZ are demanding €40 million for the 19-year-old Dutch midfielder.
