According to the investigation, the owner of the papaya tree is the family of Ms. Pham Thi Kieu Diem (39 years old), in Duc Phong town (Bu Dang district, Binh Phuoc). She said that her family's papaya tree is about 10.75 m tall.

After the tree grew bigger, Ms. Diem’s family discovered that this was a male papaya tree, which did not produce fruit. However, because the flowers grew abundantly, neighbors and relatives often came to ask for flowers and other parts of the tree to use as medicine, so the family kept this papaya tree.
