The national anthems of the two countries were played, and the two Prime Ministers and delegations and government officials of the two countries performed the flag-saluting ceremony.

At the Government headquarters, the two leaders toured a photo exhibition commemorating the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Strategic Partnership in 2024 and the upcoming 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2027.
Following the welcoming ceremony, the Prime Ministers of the two countries posed for a group photo in the main hall of the Prime Minister's Office. The two leaders shook hands before the talks.

Vietnam and Spain established diplomatic relations on May 23, 1977, and established a framework for a future-oriented strategic partnership in December 2009.
Spain became Vietnam's eighth largest trading partner in the EU, while Vietnam became Spain's largest trading partner in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Spain was Vietnam's first Strategic Partner in the European Union (EU). It was also one of the first countries to ratify the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement.
At the Government headquarters, the two leaders witnessed the signing of several cooperation documents.
During the visit, agreements are expected to be signed in areas such as investment, agriculture, political consultations, culture and sports, as well as cooperation between the diplomatic academies of the two countries.
