On October 24, in Ho Chi Minh City, a discussion took place with the theme "Mastering your own beauty" to create a space for connection, sharing and inspiration for women to nurture, preserve and shine with their own unique beauty.
Dr. Do Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice President of the Vietnam Nutrition Association, said that the concept of “mastering beauty” for modern women has changed significantly. Beauty is no longer about following physical standards but the ability to create a healthy, harmonious and happy life from within. Women today are the “architects” of their own comprehensive beauty.
According to Dr. Ngoc Diep, many international studies (Global Wellness Institute, Harvard, Stanford...) show that five health care trends are being focused on by women: Prioritizing comprehensive health, balancing physical and mental health; Applying technology to monitor and understand the body through digital platforms; Personalized nutrition, aiming at nurturing instead of abstaining; Humane exercise, promoting balance with yoga, pilates, dancing; Breaking prejudices in care and beauty, openly sharing scientific knowledge.
“When women take control of their health, they take control of their own beauty. That is the beauty of confidence, understanding and self-respect, and it is also the foundation of gender equality in the new era,” Dr. Ngoc Diep added.

From a professional perspective, Dr. Luong Ngoc emphasized the importance of medical safety in beauty. Specifically, women need to choose a qualified facility with a license, a full team of professionals and a strict risk control process. “A good doctor not only helps customers become more beautiful, but more importantly, keeps them safe,” Dr. Ngoc said.
Ms. Ly Viet Trung, Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper, believes that in modern society, women shoulder many roles and pressures, and are easily influenced by "beauty standards". Mastering one's own beauty does not mean following a stereotype, but rather having the courage to live authentically, knowing how to say "no" to the pressure of perfection and enjoying every moment of life.
