On the morning of February 3rd, the Hai Duong City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee held a meeting to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Party (February 3rd, 1930 - February 3rd, 2025) and to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Snake 2025.
Comrade Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the event.
In his speech, Comrade Le Dinh Long, Secretary of the Hai Duong City Party Committee, stated that, in line with the nationwide revolutionary movement, on August 26, 1938, at house number 17 Dong Mon Street (now Pham Hong Thai Street), the first Communist Party branch of Hai Duong City was established, which was the predecessor of the current City Party Committee.
Under the leadership of the Party Committee, the people and soldiers of the city bravely fought in wars and built the city to have the appearance, position, and stature of a civilized and modern metropolis as it is today.
Over 87 years since its establishment and 23 congresses, from the first Party cell with 3 members, the City Party Committee now has over 19,000 Party members operating in 69 grassroots Party organizations.
With continuous efforts in construction and development, over the years, the Party Committee and people of Hai Duong City have been awarded many prestigious titles by the Party and State: Hero of the People's Armed Forces; First and Second Class Independence Orders; Hero of Labor in the Renovation Period; and emulation flags and commendations from the Government and the Prime Minister ...
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 (Year of the Snake), on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Ngoc Chau, extends his best wishes for the New Year to all leaders, Party members, and people of Hai Duong City.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that each official, Party member, Party committee, and government of Hai Duong City continue to emulate previous generations, be exemplary in all work, maintain close ties with the people, and build internal unity and cohesion. They should strictly adhere to the Party's guidelines and policies; wholeheartedly serve the Fatherland and the people, contributing to the successful achievement of the goal of developing a prosperous and strong homeland, confidently entering a new era – the era of national progress.
To fulfill the tasks set out in the provincial and city plans, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the leaders, Party members, officials, and civil servants of the City Party Committee, City People's Council, City People's Committee, and City Fatherland Front Committee uphold the spirit of proactiveness and exemplary leadership, focusing on starting to implement tasks from the very first days and months of the new year.
At the meeting, Comrade Le Dinh Long, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Hai Duong City Party Committee, was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal and the 30-Year Party Membership Badge.
