Of which, 7 schools in the old Ho Chi Minh City include: Le Quy Don High School (Xuan Hoa ward), Marie Curie High School (Xuan Hoa ward), Trung Vuong High School (Sai Gon ward), Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (Cho Lon ward), Le Quy Don Secondary School (Xuan Hoa ward), Hai Ba Trung Secondary School (Xuan Hoa ward), and Vo Truong Toan Secondary School (Sai Gon ward).
4 schools of the old Binh Duong province, including: Binh Thang Secondary School (Dong Hoa ward), Di An High School (Di An ward), Hung Vuong Specialized High School (Thu Dau Mot ward), Nguyen Van Tiet Secondary School (Binh Hoa quarter, Lai Thieu ward).
7 schools of the old Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, including: Chau Thanh High School (Ba Ria ward), Phu My High School (Phu My ward), Dinh Tien Hoang High School (Vung Tau ward), Ba Ria High School (Ba Ria ward), Nguyen Hue High School (Rach Dua ward), Vung Tau High School (Tam Thang ward), and Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Phuoc Thang ward).
According to the Department of Education and Training, these Japanese colleagues will assist and co-teach with Vietnamese teachers who are officially teaching Japanese in the above schools, in order to improve students' ability standards. They were selected by the Japanese side to come to Vietnam to support teaching.
The Japanese teachers will work throughout the 2025-2026 school year.
For the 12th year, Ho Chi Minh City students have been supported to learn Japanese.
The Japanese language associate program is organized by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam (Japan Foundation) in coordination with the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, the Consulate General of Japan and the Ministry of Education and Training in a number of provinces and cities across the country.
Japanese language teachers (Japanese) will return to support Japanese language teaching at schools across the country that teach Japanese, including Ho Chi Minh City.
The 2025-2026 school year is the 12th term. All funding is provided by the Japanese side. Educational institutions coordinate with Japanese teachers to teach Japanese according to the school's curriculum, aiming to improve students' ability standards.
