The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued a Decision approving the "Strategy for developing Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park to 2030, with a vision to 2045".
According to the new orientation, Ho Chi Minh City sets the general goal of building the High-Tech Park into a world- leading technology center, a place where research, development and application of the most advanced achievements such as artificial intelligence, quantum technology, green technology, new materials and renewable energy converge.
This will be the core of Vietnam's knowledge-based economy , playing a leading role in the transition to a sustainable and globally competitive growth model.
At the same time, this area is also oriented to become a hub for international trade and cooperation, connecting corporations, research institutes and technology organizations around the world, thereby promoting deep participation in the global value chain.

The high-tech park also forms an international creative community, attracting scientists , experts and high-tech businesses to research and work.
By 2030, the High-Tech Park strives to become an international center of science, technology and innovation, contributing to promoting green and sustainable economic transformation and playing a core role in innovation clusters of Ho Chi Minh City, the Southeast region and the Southern Key Economic Zone.
By 2045, the High-Tech Park is positioned as a smart innovation space of global stature with specialized infrastructure, a favorable environment for creativity and international standards.
The area will become the hub of regional innovation clusters, promoting industrial growth, developing emerging industries, creating high-income jobs based on R&D and commercializing technology.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the High-Tech Park Management Board to take the lead in implementing key tasks such as applying new science and technology, developing innovation spaces, training high-quality human resources, expanding international cooperation and innovating management activities to realize strategic goals.
The approval of the “Strategy for the development of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park to 2030, with a vision to 2045” aims to take advantage of opportunities and adapt to the development of science and technology, high-tech industries and the trend of shifting foreign direct investment (FDI) of large technology corporations in the world.
At the same time, concretize the Party and State's policies and guidelines on developing high-tech industries, creating a foundation for participating in the fourth industrial revolution.
