On July 13, CMC Technology Group (CMC) announced that it has just been approved by the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park (SHTP) to invest in a super-scale data center project worth more than 250 million USD at SHTP.
According to CMC representative, this data center is designed as the "heart" of storing - calculating - analyzing huge data, providing AI-as-a-Service services, Cloud infrastructure, Big Data and network security for millions of users.
The center synchronizes many new generation network technologies with the 800G DWDM optical transmission network system, ensuring extremely large, stable and secure bandwidth connections from the core to the network edge.
In particular, the application of Digital Twin helps simulate and monitor in real time, optimizing the operational performance of the entire data center.
In addition, renewable energy solutions are prioritized for deployment to save energy for equipment, providing green solutions for the environment, and meeting modern Green DC (green data center) standards.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Chairman of CMC Corporation, shared: “We do not consider CMC Hyperscale Data Center SHTP as a mere data center. This is the infrastructure foundation for Ho Chi Minh City to develop into a regional Digital Hub, a core infrastructure serving digital transformation, AI transformation, a place where Vietnamese enterprises can access the most powerful computing resources, no longer having to bring data abroad”.
For Ho Chi Minh City, this data center is expected to contribute to building a synchronous AI ecosystem, attracting R&D centers, startups, investment funds, technology universities... From there, Ho Chi Minh City can move faster to become the first AI city in Vietnam, expanding to the region's Digital Hub.
