Ho Chi Minh City builds a park at Phu Tho racetrack for nearly 100 billion VND

Shaped like a "diamond" in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, the Phu Tho racetrack park - an entertainment area for young people in Phu Tho Ward (Ward 15, old District 11) has just been invested in and built by Ho Chi Minh City, with a total cost of nearly 100 billion VND from the city budget.

On the morning of November 4 in Phu Tho Ward (HCMC), the District 11 Construction Investment Project Management Board held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Phu Tho racetrack park project, an entertainment center serving young people with a total area of ​​6.45 hectares, located adjacent to 3 main roads including Le Dai Hanh, projected roads 2 and 3 within the racetrack area.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Director of the District 11 Construction Investment Project Management Board said: "This is one of the typical city-level projects selected to start construction in the 2025 peak emulation period - demonstrating the spirit of dynamism, creativity, daring to think, daring to do for the common good, contributing to concretizing the goal of 'building Ho Chi Minh City to develop rapidly, sustainably, with good quality of life, civilized - modern - affectionate'".

"The project is not only a highlight of the urban landscape but also has profound political and social significance, demonstrating the determination of the Party Committee, government and people of the city in successfully implementing the socio-economic development targets for the 2021-2025 period, welcoming important events of Ho Chi Minh City and the country," Mr. Tran Anh Tuan emphasized.

More than 10 years ago, at the request of voters and people of District 11, Ho Chi Minh City leaders approved the policy of reserving prime land at Phu Tho racetrack to build a green park to serve the people.

At the 11th Party Congress of District 11 (term 2015 - 2020), the project "Phu Tho Racetrack Park - entertainment area for young people, Ward 15, District 11" was determined and determined to be implemented. By 2018, the 1/2000 scale zoning plan of Phu Tho Racetrack was officially approved by the city. On June 24, 2025, the Director of the Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City approved the construction investment project.
