On November 4, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City organized an information session on the situation of mobilizing, receiving and distributing voluntary contributions to support people to overcome damage caused by storms and floods in 2025.
Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee; along with comrades Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; leaders of city departments, branches and representatives of units and enterprises.
At the conference, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Phan Hong An reported on the results of mobilizing, receiving and distributing voluntary contributions to support people in storm and flood areas.
Representatives of agencies, units, organizations and the business community exchanged and offered ideas to help Ho Chi Minh City's relief work become more synchronous, unified and effective.

In recent times, Ho Chi Minh City has organized many activities to support people to overcome the damage caused by storms and floods in the fastest, most effective and highest support spirit under the city's conditions. In addition to financial support, Ho Chi Minh City also organized delegations to visit, encourage and share with the people.
In addition to supporting localities and people in flood-affected areas, Ho Chi Minh City also pays special attention to people in the city affected by storms, whirlwinds, high tides and heavy rains that have damaged houses and crops. The city has always proactively sent working groups to visit, support and help people stabilize their lives soon.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Phuoc Loc affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City provides focused support, meeting the needs and actual conditions of each locality; ensuring timely support, in the right place, at the right time, and for the right subjects.

The Ho Chi Minh City health sector will support medicine bags for people in storm-hit areas, the education sector will support students in difficult circumstances, along with helping to repair damaged schools, medical stations, bridges, roads, and dykes, contributing to restoring people's lives and stabilizing their lives after storms and floods.

Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc requested that city agencies, units, departments, branches and sectors continue to proactively mobilize and implement support programs close to the actual situation.
Press agencies continue to implement social work programs behind the newspaper to join the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City in implementing programs to assist and support localities and people affected by storms and floods.
At the same time, it should be noted that the forms of support must be diverse and practical, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and unified coordination of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, to ensure that they are close to the actual situation and conditions of each locality, in order to help people soon stabilize their lives after natural disasters.

The leaders of Ho Chi Minh City expressed their hope that the business community and all classes of people will continue to participate in charity activities with all their hearts, together with the city's political system to share love, bring the warmth of Ho Chi Minh City to areas affected by storms and floods, especially so that people in affected areas can soon overcome difficulties and children can soon go to school.
After today's working session, Ho Chi Minh City supported the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City with 20 billion VND, Da Nang City with 15 billion VND and Quang Ngai Province with 5 billion VND. This is the initial support fund for localities to equip rescue vehicles and equipment, helping people avoid hunger and cold and quickly overcome difficulties.
At the reception on the morning of November 4, 22 units, businesses, organizations and individuals registered and donated a total amount of money and goods of more than 6.12 billion VND, of which 976 million VND were goods.
Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee has received 14,720 donations with a total amount of more than VND 204.47 billion and has promptly deployed timely support to 18 provinces and cities with a total amount of VND 147 billion . At the same time, it has mobilized and received 731 boxes of family medicine bags (11,096 bags), 70 tons of rice, 4,619 boxes of essential goods, 535 boxes of blankets, quilts, sheets, towels with a total value of more than VND 5 billion.
Donation collection period is from October 3 to November 30.
