Tran Quyet Chien still has 2 opportunities to find his first championship in 2025, when he competes in the World Cup billiards tournament taking place in Korea and Egypt.

Up to this point, 6 out of 8 major tournaments in 2025 under the World Carom Billiards Federation (UMB) system have ended. However, Tran Quyet Chien has not been able to add any more championship trophies to his collection of titles.

The best achievement of the Ha Tinh native is the runner-up position in the World Cup billiards held in Ankara (Turkey) in June. Currently, Tran Thanh Luc is the only Vietnamese representative to own the UMB championship in 2025 when he won in Bogota, Colombia in March. However, the opportunity to reach the top of this season is still there for Quyet Chien and the Vietnamese players.

From now until the end of 2025, Quyet Chien will compete in 2 World Cup billiards stages, respectively in Gwangju (Korea, November 3-9) and Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt, December 7-13). First of all, the tournament takes place in the land of kimchi, Quyet Chien and Thanh Luc are given special permission to appear from the final round (32 players), because they are in the top 14 players on the world rankings. Other famous players of Vietnamese billiards such as Bao Phuong Vinh, Chiem Hong Thai, Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu, Dao Van Ly will play from the final qualifying round.

Notably, the World Cup billiards stage held in Korea in early November witnessed the appearance of many Vietnamese players. According to the list announced by the organizing committee, Vietnam has up to 19 players participating.
