Flag-raising ceremony on DK1 platforms on National Day

On the DK1 platforms - "living milestones" in the middle of the ocean, officers and soldiers solemnly held flag-saluting and review ceremonies on the morning of September 2. The sacred atmosphere of Independence Day combined with the murmuring sound of the waves seemed to give strength to the soldiers at the forefront of the waves and wind. The platforms also organized live television viewing of the military parade in Hanoi, combined with cultural, artistic and sports activities, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere.

Captain Tran Luc, Political Commissar of DK1/10 Platform, emotionally shared: "Although we are in the middle of the ocean, far from the mainland, through television, we can still feel the proud and joyful atmosphere of the whole country on Independence Day."

In the sacred Con Dao, officers and soldiers of Radar Station 590, Regiment 251 organized cleaning, embellishing the grounds and offering incense at Hang Duong Cemetery, where tens of thousands of revolutionary soldiers and patriotic compatriots fell, dedicating their lives to the independence and freedom of the nation. The activity is a deep gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers, and at the same time reminds officers and soldiers today to be more proud and determined to continue the heroic and steadfast tradition on the island frontline of the Fatherland.

On the mainland, agencies and units in the entire region simultaneously organized flag-raising ceremonies on the morning of September 2, combined with incense offerings to commemorate heroic martyrs. In addition, many rich and meaningful activities were carried out such as: physical training, sports, cultural and artistic exchanges, visiting and giving gifts to families with meritorious services, handing over "Comrades' Houses", recruiting new party members, and coordinating mass mobilization in the military-occupied areas. These activities contributed to spreading the spirit of "When drinking water, remember its source", comradely and comradely affection, and strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people.

In particular, towards the solemn parade and march commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2, from remote islands, platforms, duty ships to units on land, officers and soldiers of Naval Region 2 in ceremonial uniforms, with solemn posture, simultaneously turned towards the capital Hanoi with sacred sentiments and steadfast faith.

Units in the entire region still maintain strict duty and combat readiness, ensuring absolute safety in all situations.

In particular, in the sea parade formation to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Naval Region 2 participated with 3 main combat ships: ship 382 of Brigade 167, along with ships 09 and 17 of Brigade 171. The ships carrying the red flag with yellow star flying in the sky of the Fatherland created a majestic image, demonstrating the strength, bravery and iron will of the officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy in general, and Naval Region 2 in particular. The sea parade formation is not only the pride of Region 2 but also a symbol of the determination to firmly protect the sovereignty of the sea, islands and sacred continental shelf of the Fatherland.
