
Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City awarded certificates of merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City to 2 students.
Recognizing the importance of developing a reading culture in schools throughout the city, for the 2024-2025 school year, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Education and Training have implemented a coordinated plan involving relevant agencies, units, and localities. Simultaneously, leveraging the role of the public library system in implementing these coordinated activities in each locality has yielded clear and positive results.
The preliminary round of the Can Tho City Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2025 received 7,191 entries from 80 schools in Can Tho City (before the merger). As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 7 collective prizes to units that effectively launched the contest, had the highest student participation rate, and had the most winning contestants. Additionally, 33 individual prizes were awarded across 5 categories.
From the high-quality entries in the Preliminary Round, the Organizing Committee selected 6 entries to participate in the National Final Round. As a result, they won 2 Third Prizes and 3 Consolation Prizes.
On this occasion, two students, Phan Bao Phuc and Tran Nhu Y, who won third prize in the national final round of the 2025 Reading Culture Ambassador Competition, received certificates of commendation from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City; many collectives and individuals were also awarded for their achievements in participating in the preliminary round of the Reading Culture Ambassador Competition and for their collaborative efforts in developing reading culture in schools during the 2024-2025 school year.
