In its article "This is the safest country in Asia to visit in 2024," published on January 2nd, Travel off Path stated that for Americans, safety is a top priority when choosing to travel abroad, especially given the current situation where conflicts continue to erupt in many places and security is declining in some destinations. In this context, according to Travel off Path, "there is one country that has proven to be quite stable and safe for tourists," and that is Vietnam. The leading US travel website cited data from the Global Law and Order Index ranking, showing that Vietnam is not only the safest country in Asia with a score of 92/100, but also ranks among the top 7 in the world .![]() |

Vietnam is the safest country in Asia. Travel off Path predicts that once COVID-19 restrictions are fully lifted, 2024 will be the year Asian tourism fully recovers. Western travelers will return to this friendly continent, from Malaysia with its multicultural landscapes to Indonesia and countless paradise islands, and destinations in the region will see growth rates similar to those before the pandemic. The travel website affirms: “All eyes are on Vietnam – the jewel of Southeast Asia, with a long history and proudly possessing the most beautiful natural landscapes and diverse, captivating culture.” Rising from war five decades ago, Vietnam is now a prosperous and peaceful nation with a low crime rate and remarkably stable politics. However, this travel website also points out that, despite the safety factors mentioned above, Vietnam still faces food safety risks. Nevertheless, tourists can minimize these risks by "taking certain precautions, such as following local guidelines and dining at reputable restaurants." According to Travel off Path, Vietnam is one of Asia's most attractive destinations. Regarding tourism advantages, "Vietnam is an ideal destination for those who prefer slow-paced travel and love connecting with nature, experiencing a completely new culture, especially for travelers from the northern hemisphere."
