Towards the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam , the draft Congress documents have reached a large number of people nationwide as well as overseas Vietnamese on all five continents, including the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation.
VNA correspondent in Russia had an interview with Master Pham Thanh Xuan, member of the Presidium of the Union of Vietnamese Organizations in Russia, and Doctor of Economics Nguyen Quoc Hung, Vice President of the Union of Vietnamese Organizations in Russia, about the aspirations and comments of overseas intellectuals on the important political event of the whole nation.
Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung completely agreed with the draft documents of the 14th Congress. He pointed out that the documents fully reflect, are elaborately constructed, have a tight and logical structure, and express the viewpoints, guidelines, and visions of the Party and State leaders in all fields.
He emphasized that the document correctly assessed the context, identified current changes in the world as epochal, and correspondingly, there will be intertwined opportunities and challenges.
The document clearly points out the current revolutionary policies in the country, reflecting the correspondence between domestic and international situations throughout the document. Mr. Hung affirmed that this is the vision and strategic determination of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung is very interested in the Party's foreign policy and highly appreciates the fact that in this document, for the first time, foreign affairs work has been elevated, placed on par with security and defense work, and together become an important and regular task.
Foreign affairs are determined not only to contribute to economic development, but also to reach the level of knowledge, culture, and civilization of the times. Sectoral diplomacy is given special attention: diplomacy in science and technology, digital economy, and digital transformation. That is extremely important to raise the level of Vietnam's foreign affairs to the level of the times.

Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung said that in the field of science and technology, the Congress documents must demonstrate both breakthrough thinking and sustainable development, ensuring social equity. We must clarify the role of science and technology and digital transformation in the new growth model. He also expressed his hope that the documents would more clearly demonstrate the Party and State's concern for workers, especially the poor.
For her part, Master Pham Thanh Xuan noted that the 14th Congress documents are concise, succinct, truly penetrating into people's lives and have practical content. According to her, this is very meaningful to be disseminated among the Vietnamese community living and working abroad.
Ms. Xuan said that what she liked most in the document was the integration content because it was an issue related to Vietnamese people living and working abroad. Currently, there are more than 6 million overseas Vietnamese living in more than 130 countries and territories and are an inseparable part of the Vietnamese people.
As a member of that community, Ms. Xuan felt the concern for the overseas Vietnamese community in the document. She added that now in the overseas Vietnamese community in Russia, there has appeared a young generation, born and raised abroad, intellectual, well-trained, with high integration capacity but also wanting to contribute to building the country. She believes that this is something that the Party and State need to pay attention to in policies to attract talent.
Master Pham Thanh Xuan hopes that the new points of the Document will include content promoting the participation of Vietnamese women abroad in political, social and cultural life in the country.
For example, representatives of Vietnamese women abroad can become delegates to the National Party Congress, or women abroad can participate in congresses of the Vietnam Women's Union, the Fatherland Front, or Vietnamese women abroad can participate in the legislative process, especially in drafting laws on the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of women to the community and society.
The two intellectuals said that in general, this feedback campaign was implemented very extensively, in all forms, including social platforms. The Party has used every means to bring feedback to each citizen, demonstrating the Party's consistent viewpoint of taking the people as the center.
Therefore, all people, including overseas Vietnamese in Russia, always wish to accompany the Party in the journey of building the country, realizing the noble goals that President Ho Chi Minh always wished for, so that the country can firmly step into a new era, an era of national prosperity./.
