Deploying Electronic Medical Records in medical examination and treatment at Phu Yen General Hospital

The Appraisal Council of Phu Yen General Hospital has just approved the Electronic Medical Record and put it into implementation at the hospital since September 13.

According to Phu Yen General Hospital, over the past 2 years, the unit has regularly trained, coached and continuously edited and perfected the requirements of the Ministry of Health on guidelines for implementing electronic medical records. The hospital also invested in information technology infrastructure, equipment, and solutions for information security; deployed the connection of electronic medical records information with personal identification numbers...

Up to now, Phu Yen General Hospital has officially completed the evaluation of electronic medical records.

The Appraisal Council voted to approve the Electronic Medical Record.

Immediately after being assessed, Phu Yen General Hospital officially deployed Electronic Medical Records to completely replace paper medical records. When coming for examination, patients do not need to bring their health insurance card but only need to scan the code of their personal identification number. The information, procedures, and examination images will be stored on the system.

Patients are also given a QR code to store information for transfer to upper-level hospitals.

The implementation of Electronic Medical Records in medical examination and treatment not only helps shorten the process and reduce administrative procedures for medical staff, but also creates favorable conditions for patients during the examination and treatment process.
