28 patients at the Rehabilitation Hospital were brought to safety

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of October 27, in the face of rapidly rising floodwaters, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee Phan Thien Dinh directly directed the work of moving patients at the Rehabilitation Hospital to a safe place.

Authorities and armed forces mobilized personnel and vehicles to transport 29 patients from the Rehabilitation Hospital in the deeply flooded area to safety. Many patients could not contain their emotions when being taken out of the flooded area.

Present at the patient transfer point, Chairman of the City People's Committee Phan Thien Dinh encouraged the patients as well as the support forces, and highly appreciated the efforts of the military forces in promptly mobilizing forces and vehicles to support the patients.

Faced with the situation of flood water still rising rapidly, the Chairman of the City People's Committee directed the People's Committees of communes and wards to continue and urgently deploy support to evacuate and relocate people to safe places, prioritizing the safety of vulnerable groups such as pregnant women, the elderly, children, people with disabilities, etc.

Organize a review of the stockpiling of essential materials, vehicles, and goods, especially in areas that are often isolated by heavy rain and floods, remote areas; propagate to people to properly stockpile on-site to prevent rain and floods lasting for many days.
