This is a modern retail model integrated into a traditional postal space, aiming to realize Vietnam Post's development strategy of transforming its service points into "multi-functional service centers," providing maximum convenience for customers.

The new stores are located in central, high-density areas with convenient transportation and access to amenities. Here, customers can shop for essential goods while also utilizing postal services, postal financial services, public administration services, and more, all at one service point.
Each location will offer approximately 2,000 essential consumer products, ranging from food and cosmetics to household goods and textiles. All products are selected from over 130 reputable suppliers, ensuring origin and quality at reasonable prices, which are publicly displayed.

Mr. Pham Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of the Distribution & Retail Business Management Board (Vietnam Post), stated: “The development of the ‘Post Office Department Store’ model is one of Vietnam Post’s new directions in improving operational efficiency, transforming from a traditional delivery business to a multi-functional service provider. This model not only enhances the efficiency of the public postal network but also contributes to facilitating people’s access to essential services and goods, promoting domestic consumption and local economic development. We expect this to become a reliable, accessible, and familiar destination for every family.”
According to the plan, by the end of 2025, Vietnam Post will operate 200 "Post Office Department Stores" nationwide, forming a widespread retail network connected to service points from urban to rural areas.
