Eliminated 2 gambling dens in 1 day, arrested 17 people

On November 3, news from the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order of Vinh Long Provincial Police said that the unit's forces had just coordinated with local police to destroy two gambling dens in Tra On District.

Specifically, at 2:30 p.m. the same day, the Order Police Team under the Administrative Management Police Department of Social Order of Vinh Long Provincial Police coordinated with Tra On District Police to inspect and catch 15 people gathering to gamble and gamble on cockfighting for money over the internet at the house of LNE (36 years old, Khu Pho Hamlet, Huu Thanh Commune, Tra On District). Evidence seized at the scene included 19 mobile phones, 15 motorbikes, a used deck of 52 playing cards and more than 64 million VND.

Previously, at 10:00 a.m. the same day, at an empty lot in Tra Con commune, Tra On district, the police caught two people red-handed gambling on cockfighting; confiscated evidence including two chickens, five rolls of used tape, two pairs of iron spurs and more than 6.7 million VND.

Those involved in the two gambling cases above have been taken to the police station to give statements, verify and handle according to the law.
