According to state-run CCTV, the bus was attacked by rioters on Thursday, amid violence that has gripped French cities since the police shooting of a North African teenager. A statement from the Consulate said the Chinese tourists had left France.
The consular office statement added that Chinese citizens in France or planning to travel to France should "increase precautions" and be "more vigilant and cautious" in light of the riots that have swept across the country in recent days.
Riots across France appeared to subside on Saturday, as tens of thousands of police officers were deployed in cities across the country, from Paris, Nice, Strasbourg to Marseille.
