On the afternoon of September 13th, the University of Technology – Da Nang University held an opening ceremony and disseminated the regulations for postgraduate training for the first intake of 2025 to 5 doctoral students and 124 master's students of the 50th cohort.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Vice Rector of the university, said that this is the first time the departments offering postgraduate training have recruited enough students to enroll; the quality of incoming students has also increased compared to previous cohorts.
This is a positive sign in postgraduate training. Ensuring the quality of incoming students will significantly contribute to the training and development of future scientists . This is also a valuable resource for the faculties, as capable students will collaborate with faculty members on research projects, and it will also provide a foundation for the university to identify, nurture, and retain outstanding students to teach after graduation.

Of the 124 postgraduate students in the 2025 intake, 68 are research-oriented and 56 are application-oriented.
In 2025, the University of Technology - Da Nang University will implement many support policies for students. The most notable of these is the conversion and recognition of academic results from engineering training programs.
Accordingly, the specialized engineering program has 180 recognized graduation credits, and academic results can be transferred from the engineering program to the master's program with up to 30 credits waived, accounting for 50% of the program's workload. Therefore, students can shorten their training time from 2 years to 1 year. Tuition fees will not be charged for the courses for which credits are waived.
