Flowers of "Thousand Good Deeds"

In early April, more than 150 delegates, including primary and secondary school students and teachers of the General Team Leader of Hue City, had the opportunity to participate in the "Journey to the Red Address" in Nghe An Province, with activities such as: Visiting Uncle Ho's hometown Sen village in Nam Dan district; offering incense at President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House... The activity is within the framework of the 11th Program to honor Uncle Ho's good children in Hue City - 2025.

As one of the faces honored and participating in the journey, Le Giang Uyen - Deputy Leader of the Nguyen Chi Dieu Secondary School (Thuan Hoa District) shared: “The program is a meaningful meeting opportunity for outstanding students in the whole city. By attending the congress, we have tried our best to study, cultivate and practice morality; actively participate in the activities of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers. Through participating in the Team activities, we feel more mature, study better, love, appreciate and share more with the lives and fates that are still unfortunate in life”.

This program honored 105 typical examples of good children of Uncle Ho in Hue City and 9 teams that effectively implemented the movement "Vietnamese children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" in the period of 2018 - 2024. These are all bright examples in studying, training and participating in activities and movements; they are the most beautiful flowers, representing more than 170,000 children in the city in the flower garden "Thousands of good deeds".

Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy Linh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union - Chairwoman of the Hue City Young Pioneer Council said: The Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress is a big festival for Hue City's children, an opportunity to honor outstanding examples of Uncle Ho's good children, typical in studying, training and participating in Young Pioneer work in the period 2018 - 2024. Thereby, continuing to promote the movement "Vietnamese children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" associated with the 135th anniversary of the birth of beloved Uncle Ho (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

The movement "Vietnamese children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" has been comprehensively and creatively implemented by the City's Youth Union Council; making an important contribution toeducating children's ideology, morality, lifestyle and skills. Notably, the Youth Union Councils at all levels in the city have actively innovated the content and form of organizing activities, creating a healthy and rich learning and training environment, helping children develop comprehensively in terms of cognition, emotions and practical skills.

Activities to educate about tradition, patriotism, and national pride are also focused on through programs such as: “Journey to the red address”; history research contests, propaganda about the sea and islands and young heroes. Movements to practice life skills, develop creative thinking such as STEM experiences, foreign language clubs, science and technology competitions, reading culture and poetry writing activities have become useful academic playgrounds, helping children discover themselves and orient their future careers.

Solidarity and community awareness are fostered through exchange activities between teams in remote areas, the “Friends progress together” movement and the “Building beautiful friendships, saying no to school violence” campaign. Cultural, sports and communication activities on law, traffic safety, and prevention of social evils are also organized synchronously to build a safe and positive school environment. Raising awareness of hygiene and environmental protection is cleverly integrated into movements such as “Green Sunday”, “Friendly toilets”, or outdoor activities to explore nature.

The spirit of “modesty, honesty, courage” is fostered through the movement “Speaking good words, doing good deeds”, the painting contest, and praising typical children in study and life. Traditional moral values ​​are conveyed vividly and closely, helping children to cultivate their personality and positive ideals...

According to Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union - President of the Hue City Youth Union Council Hoang Thi Thuy Linh, with a long tradition and outstanding achievements, Hue City children today are not only proud of the results they have achieved, but also clearly aware of their mission in the new era - the era of national development. Following in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers, the generation of children in the ancient capital will continue to study, practice, and promote their creativity to become excellent citizens, contributing to building their homeland and country more and more prosperous.
