OCOP, craft village and agricultural products week in Ba Vi district lasts until November 19

On November 15, at Ba Vi District Stadium, the Hanoi City New Rural Development Program Coordination Office coordinated with the Ba Vi District People's Committee to organize a week of consulting, introducing and promoting the consumption of OCOP products, craft villages, and safe agricultural and food products in 2024. Photo: Minh Phu The week is held for 5 days, from November 15 to November 19 with 50 booths and more than 500 OCOP products which are regional specialties of Hanoi and 9 provinces and cities across the country: Can Tho, Cao Bang, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City, Hung Yen, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Tuyen Quang. This is an opportunity for OCOP subjects of Hanoi and provinces and cities across the country to exchange, connect trade, promote brands, promote trade, in order to continuously improve productivity, product quality, capacity of OCOP subjects, especially consumers to better understand the products to be interested in using them. Currently, Hanoi City has 100% of districts and communes meeting new rural standards, 188 communes meeting advanced new rural standards, 76 communes meeting model new rural standards. Thanh Tri District is recognized by the Prime Minister as a district meeting advanced new rural standards. In 2024, strive to have at least 3 more districts meeting advanced new rural standards and Hanoi City will complete the task of building new rural areas. Photo: Minh Phu Hanoi is the "land of hundreds of professions", with 1,350 craft villages and villages with professions, of which 334 craft villages, traditional crafts and traditional craft villages are recognized by the City People's Committee; 1,090 agricultural cooperatives are operating; 1,695 farms; 149 production and consumption chains; more than 160 high-tech application models, more than 13,000 agricultural, forestry and fishery products have been granted traceability codes (QRCode). In particular, Hanoi and 43 provinces and cities across the country have proactively and actively maintained and supported the development of 977 safe food supply chains for Hanoi. Accumulated from 2019 to present, the city has assessed and certified 3,021 OCOP products; including 6 5-star products, 16 potential 5-star products, 1,538 4-star products and 1,461 3-star products. In 2024, the city will continue to evaluate and classify about 500 products, in order to support OCOP entities to develop, improve product value and quality, meet the increasing demands of consumers in the capital, domestically and towards export. To introduce OCOP products, craft villages, safe agricultural products and food to consumers in the capital, the Hanoi City New Rural Development Program Coordination Office has coordinated with the People's Committee of Ba Vi district, departments, branches, units and enterprises to organize weekly events, contributing to connecting trade, helping people access OCOP products, safe and quality products.
