Jubilant opening of the 2024 Hanoi Student HDBank Futsal Tournament

On the afternoon of October 14, at the Gymnasium of Vietnam Agricultural Academy, the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Hanoi Region HDBank Student Futsal Tournament took place. The tournament was organized by the Voice of Vietnam in collaboration with the Hanoi University and Professional Sports Association, Vietnam Agricultural Academy, with the support of Diamond Sponsor HDBank.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Tran Minh Hung, Deputy General Director of Voice of Vietnam, Vice President of Vietnam Olympic Committee, Co-Head of National Futsal Steering Committee 2024, Mr. Pham Thanh Sang, Director of Advertising and Media Services Center (VOVAMS) Branch in Ho Chi Minh City, Head of the tournament Organizing Committee.

Sharing at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Pham Thanh Sang said: "From 2017 to now, Voice of Vietnam in collaboration with the Vietnam Football Federation has successfully organized National and International Futsal tournaments, which have been highly appreciated by experts as well as domestic and foreign news agencies and newspapers. The VOV-branded Futsal tournaments have truly spread widely, being a precious spiritual gift for Vietnamese and international fans. Along with the HDBank National Championship and National Cup futsal tournaments, the accompanying student Futsal tournament has also become an exciting and attractive playground for students in many regions across the country.

Organizing Committee representatives encouraged the competing teams.

This year, towards the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), the Voice of Vietnam Radio in collaboration with the Hanoi University and Professional Sports Association, Vietnam Academy of Agriculture organized the Hanoi Student Futsal HDBank Tournament. After the success of the 2023 Central Highlands Student Futsal Tournament, this is the second year that the Student Futsal Tournament is organized regionally with the goal of creating a national Futsal playground for students and young people, and further promoting this sport. The organizers hope that the tournament will contribute to promoting the physical education and sports movement in general and Fusal in particular nationwide.

The opening day matches were exciting.

The Organizing Committee believes that with the experience and professionalism in organizing the National Futsal tournaments and the talent of the teams, this year's Student Futsal tournament will be more attractive and appealing. We also hope that this tournament will create motivation to encourage the Futsal training movement among young people, contributing to making Vietnamese Futsal more and more professional, integrating with the development of the continent and the world."

On the first day of competition, there were 4 matches held. Vietnam National University of Agriculture won Hanoi National University of Education 3-0, Hanoi University of Science and Technology won Hanoi University of Mining and Geology 4-0, Hanoi National University won Hanoi University of Business and Technology 3-2 and Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports lost to University of Economics and Technology of Industry 3-4.
