With a GPA of 3.77/4.0, Dinh Minh Tam ( Hanoi ) became the valedictorian of the Law major, Hanoi Law University this year.
Receiving an excellent bachelor's degree with a prestigious title, the 10X happily confided that this was something she had never dared to dream of. "During my studies, I just thought I had to try my best so that after graduating I could become a good civil servant, applying the knowledge I learned to my work," Minh Tam said, adding that with the title that many people aspire to, the female student sees it as a motivation to strive even harder, not thinking that it is something better than others.

The first days of entering university, the newness of the lecture hall made Minh Tam feel bewildered. Admitting that she was a bit shy, her entrance exam score was not too high, seeing the achievement list of her classmates (most of whom were national excellent students, with many years of excellent grades), the 10X felt left behind.
During one semester of her second year, Minh Tam had to register for 24 credits, equivalent to 9 subjects. During that time, she studied day and night, always in a state of stress and pressure due to the huge amount of knowledge, with no time left for herself.
“During that period, I was exhausted both physically and mentally. I was afraid of getting bad grades and not understanding the lessons. Many times I felt discouraged, cried a lot and wanted to stop. However, thinking of my parents and seeing the hard work of my group mates, I told myself that I had to go all the way and not give up,” the female student confided.
In order not to be left behind by her peers, Minh Tam began to change her study methods. Before class, she read the textbook and looked up specialized terms to better understand the lessons.

In class, 10X always participates fully, listens attentively to the teacher's lectures, and takes notes of the highlights. At the same time, he actively builds and speaks up so that teachers and friends can point out his mistakes, thereby correcting his mistakes and remembering the lesson longer.
Returning home, the female student continued to spend time re-reading the notes she had taken, then practicing many difficult questions, and actively exchanging knowledge with friends.
“There is a saying from a lecturer at school that really impressed me: high scores only come to those who work hard. Studying is a process of hard work, hardship and difficulty, not something that can be done in a day or two. I always believe that with perseverance and effort, we will grow and progress far beyond ourselves,” Minh Tam said.
Thanks to her efforts and determination, the 10X from Hanoi gradually gained recognition from teachers and friends and especially had a successful change in her grades. She got A+ in almost all subjects. This semester became a milestone marking her development, helping her gain momentum and move forward quickly.
Since then, Minh Tam has continuously received certificates of merit from the President of Hanoi Law University, certificates of merit from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, and scholarships for many semesters... for his tireless efforts.

Sharing about the opportunity to choose Law at Hanoi Law University, Minh Tam said that her family is in the business, so she has to constantly learn about law. Ever since she was little, she always wanted to stand up to protect the disadvantaged in society. Therefore, on the day she registered for university admission, the 10X did not hesitate to choose Law.
Having balanced her studies, Minh Tam is active in extracurricular activities at school. In her free time on weekends, the female student participates in propaganda sessions in the residential group, helping people understand important laws and decrees. From a shy girl, Minh Tam has become a more active and confident girl.
“I am very grateful and cherish my time at Hanoi Law University. It is the teachers, seniors and friends here who have helped me improve and change myself for the better,” the new valedictorian expressed.
Minh Tam shared that on the journey to realize her dream, she always has her family as a support and companion. Her steps on the road to the future are now stronger and more solid.
