Vietnam women's basketball team won historic gold medal

After defeating Indonesia 21-18 in the semi-finals this morning, the girls of the Vietnam 3x3 basketball team, including 4 athletes Huynh Thi Ngoan, Nguyen Thi Tieu Duy and twin sisters Truong Thao My - Truong Thao Vy, entered the final match with great determination.

The Vietnamese shooters started the game with confidence and quickly scored the first points and took the lead. The Vietnamese women's 3x3 basketball team forced the Philippine girls to fall into a chasing position.

At the end of the match, the Vietnamese team excellently defeated their opponent with a score of 21-16 to win the 32nd SEA Games championship.

Thus, the Vietnamese women's 3x3 basketball team has successfully changed the color of the medal. At the 31st SEA Games at home, the achievement was silver medal after a regrettable loss to Thailand.

More notably, this is also the first gold medal of Vietnamese 3x3 basketball at the SEA Games.

Previously in the group stage, Vietnam defeated the Philippines and successfully avenged Thailand with a 16-13 victory.
