On the afternoon of December 6, the U22 Vietnam team arrived at Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok) to watch the opening match of the U22 Malaysia team against U22 Laos at the 33rd SEA Games.

Due to the lack of information about U22 Malaysia, coach Kim Sang Sik and his team decided to change the afternoon training session to noon. This is to spend time watching the opponent play live to best prepare for the final match of the group stage on December 11.

U22 Laos unexpectedly took a 1-0 lead in the 4th minute, but U22 Malaysia managed to equalize 1-1 before the end of the first half. Sitting in the stands, coach Kim Sang Sik and his team had a rather leisurely first 45 minutes. Many players even took the opportunity to use their phones.

But in the second half, when U22 Malaysia accelerated and scored consecutive goals, the U22 Vietnam team had to watch the match more attentively. Coach Kim Sang Sik and his assistant team even talked to each other quite a lot.

The U22 Vietnam team left after U22 Laos received a red card in the 86th minute, when the score was 1-3 for U22 Malaysia.

Therefore, Mr. Kim and his team did not have time to witness the winning goal of 4-1 of U22 Malaysia in the 90+1 minute. However, the whole team had more or less grasped the opponent's playing style and strengths.

The match tape will be processed by the technical team to show notable situations for coach Kim Sang Sik and the coaching staff to analyze in the coming days.

By defeating U22 Laos 4-1, U22 Malaysia has risen to the top of Group B due to a better goal difference than U22 Vietnam. To qualify for the semi-finals as group winners, U22 Vietnam must defeat U22 Malaysia on December 11.

While U22 Malaysia easily won U22 Laos, U22 Vietnam won with difficulty. Solving the problem of the attack is a mandatory task for coach Kim Sang Sik.
