Provincial People's Committee holds regular meeting in March 2025

(Baoquangngai.vn) - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Vo Phien and Tran Phuoc Hien chaired the regular meeting in March 2025.

The meeting took place on the morning of April 9, with the participation of Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cao Phuc; representatives of leaders of departments, branches and localities.

The province's socio -economic situation in March 2025 achieved some positive results. The gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the first 3 months of 2025 is estimated at more than 14 trillion VND, nearly 100% of the plan set for the first quarter. The GRDP growth rate is estimated to increase by 8.07% over the same period last year. With this result, Quang Ngai ranked 4th in the North Central and Central Coast regions and 26th in the country.

The industrial production index in March 2025 increased by 40.34% over the same period. The industrial production index in the first quarter of 2025 increased by 12.17% over the same period. The total state budget revenue in the first quarter of 2025 is estimated at nearly VND 8,900 billion, up 2.3% over the same period last year, reaching 27.8% of the annual estimate.

In the first quarter of 2025, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue is estimated at approximately VND 21.4 trillion, up 10.3% over the same period last year; reaching 26% of the 2025 plan.

Compensation and site clearance work is still slow, the progress of construction of some works and projects and disbursement of public investment capital have not met the set plan. The 2024 administrative reform index (PAR INDEX) ranked 43/63 provinces and cities (down 16 places compared to 2023). The 2024 satisfaction index on public administrative services (SIPAS) ranked 59/63 provinces and cities (down 13 places compared to 2023).

Agricultural, forestry and fishery production has developed steadily; exploited aquatic products output has increased; cultural and social sectors have maintained stable development. The total number of tourists is estimated to increase by 36% over the same period, and revenue is estimated to increase by 40%. Since the beginning of the year, cultural and artistic activities have been widely organized from the province to the grassroots level.

In the first quarter of 2025, the province completed the organization and personnel arrangement for administrative agencies, organizations and public service units to streamline the organizational apparatus; approved the list of 115 people to reduce staff in the first phase, 2025.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang requested departments, branches and localities to continue to proactively monitor and closely follow the directions of the Government; Prime Minister ; directions and instructions of central ministries and branches; conclusions and directions of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to effectively organize and implement the main tasks and solutions on the Socio-Economic Development Plan for 2025.

Strengthening solutions for state budget collection, preventing revenue loss, ensuring strict, economical and effective state budget expenditure, striving to achieve the highest level of the assigned state budget revenue estimate. Focusing on accelerating the implementation and disbursement of public investment capital in 2025.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

Focus on resolving backlog projects, stopped construction projects, difficult and stuck investment projects to promptly resolve, complete and put into use to prevent waste and loss according to the direction of the Prime Minister.

Strengthen coordination between departments, branches and localities in resolving work, especially for problems and issues that arise, to avoid prolonging time, affecting the progress, quality and efficiency of the province's overall work. Effectively implement discipline and administrative discipline; promptly and fully resolve administrative procedures for people and businesses in accordance with regulations.
