Provincial People's Committee deploys propaganda work on nuclear power project

The meeting listened to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism report on the coordination work with the Department of Industry and Trade and related units on the contents of the propaganda plan for Resolution No. 189/2025/QH15 dated February 19, 2025 of the National Assembly; the script for making propaganda clips; the plan to organize press conferences to provide information on the nuclear power project and related contents. The People's Committees of Ninh Hai and Thuan Nam districts reported on the propaganda work on compensation mechanisms and policies, site clearance, job conversion, and stabilizing the lives of people in the project area. Based on the report, the delegates focused on discussing and giving comments on a number of issues such as propaganda methods, issuing instruction manuals; coordination work between departments, branches, sectors, and localities to create high synchronization and unity in the process of land acquisition, compensation, and site clearance.

In his concluding remarks at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The nuclear power plant project is one of the key projects in the national energy development strategy approved by the National Assembly for investment policy. To ensure the correct implementation of the central government's directive to complete land acquisition, site clearance, migration and resettlement procedures in 2025, he requested the synchronous and drastic participation of the entire political system in the province. Accordingly, urgently develop and complete the propaganda plan; based on the functions and tasks of each sector, proactively review and synthesize all contents related to the project such as implementation time, construction process, support policies of the central and local governments to develop a suitable propaganda outline; at the same time, grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people to promptly propose support solutions and implement social security policies for people in the project area to ensure. Thuan Nam and Ninh Hai districts regularly inspect and monitor the land situation at the grassroots level, preventing people from arbitrarily planting trees and building fences on project land, causing difficulties in the process of inventory, compensation and site clearance.
