Ukraine accuses Russia of attacking grain ships in the Black Sea.

Odessa Governor Oleh Kiper said the attack killed one port worker and injured five foreign nationals who were crew members on the ship.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha condemned the attack on the cargo ship, emphasizing that Kyiv needs to cooperate with responsible countries and organizations to ensure freedom of navigation in the Black Sea and global food security. Ukrainian officials added that another cargo ship carrying 6,000 tons of corn was attacked at the port of Pivdennyi, near Odessa, on October 6th. Moscow has not commented on Ukraine's statement. Russia has consistently denied attacking civilian targets.
