According to the introduction of the exhibition area staff, the P28/P28M missile is a component of the Redut-M coastal defense complex, used to destroy large surface ships, floating vehicles and coastal structures.

In terms of basic features and tactics, the P28/P28M missile weighs 4,165 tons, has a warhead weight of 560 kg, and is 9.8 m long.

In particular, the missile has a maximum range of 300 km, maximum cruising altitude of 7 km; cruising speed of 1.1M (ie 1.1 Mach, greater than the speed of sound).

In the case of multiple launches, one missile can fly high to use its radar to track the target, while sharing data with lower-flying missiles.

The 560 kg warhead mass enables the missile to destroy many types of warships, including aircraft carriers and heavy landing ships.

Meanwhile, the P28/P28M missile transporter and loader is responsible for transporting and loading P28/P28M missiles into the SPU-35BE self-propelled launcher. The vehicle is 16.6 m long, 2.6 m wide, 3.2 m high, and weighs 18.8 tons. The speed on asphalt roads is 30 - 40 km/h, and on dirt roads is 10 - 20 km/h.

In addition to being displayed at the exhibition, the Redut-M surface-to-sea missile system also participated in the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2. This system led the vehicle and equipment of the Vietnam People's Navy.

According to the explanation at the ceremony, the Redut-M missile complex has a range of hundreds of kilometers, is equipped with many modern and highly effective combat modes; is a symbol of defensive strength, forming a steel shield to firmly protect the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
