On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the market was only green for the first few minutes. Then, some key stocks fell in price, causing the market to shake slightly. At the end of the morning trading session, the VN-Index stopped at 1,693.98 points, down 7.69 points.
In the afternoon session, the market continued to fluctuate in the early period. From nearly 2:00 p.m., the demand in the large-cap group increased, pushing the VN-Index above the reference level and up. At the end of the session, the VN-Index reached 1,717.06 points, "increasing" 15.39 points (0.9%); the VN30-Index was at 1,950.12 points, up 16.56 points (0.86%).

The number of stocks increasing and decreasing was relatively balanced. The entire floor had 144 stocks increasing and 149 stocks decreasing. In the VN30 group alone, the number of stocks increasing was overwhelming with 20 stocks, four times the number of stocks decreasing.
VIC was the strongest support code when contributing 4.49 points to VN-Index, followed by VJC (1.97 points), TCB (1.62 points), GEE (1.06 points), SAM (1.04 points) and VHM (1.02 points).
The banking group is clearly differentiated: TCB, CTG and MBB contributed positively, while VPB, LPB, BID and MSB decreased, affecting in the opposite direction.
By sector, the groups that gained points dominated; transportation and consumer services were the two most active groups. On the contrary, pharmaceuticals, technology, biology - science, software - services, personal care products - family, telecommunications, fashion - durable goods and healthcare equipment lost points, going against the market trend.
Total market liquidity reached over VND22,300 billion. The bright spot was foreign net buying, with a purchase value of nearly VND3,310 billion and a sale value of over VND2,672 billion.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index increased by 0.96 points (0.37%) to 258.87 points; the HNX30-Index increased by 5.58 points (0.99%) to 566.79 points. Liquidity reached nearly VND1,400 billion.
