Mr. Do Viet Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam E -Sports and Entertainment Association (VIRESA), said that the 33rd SEA Games is an important milestone in 2025 for eSport. Therefore, the unit and its partners will focus on supporting national e-sports teams in training and participating in major tournaments such as the SEA Games, ASIAD and Asian Esports Games (AEG).
At the signing ceremony of the e-sports cooperation agreement towards the development of high-performance sports held in Hanoi recently, VIRESA,FPT Online and publisher Funtap agreed to coordinate regularly and long-term in strategic consulting activities, building and developing the entertainment e-sports community in Vietnam, in order to promote the comprehensive and systematic development of this field for the country.

In addition, the parties will seek and cooperate with capable and reputable units in the field of games and e-sports to bring international eSport game products to Vietnam to develop common work. Particularly for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB, published by Funtap in Vietnam), the three parties will prepare the best conditions to support the national team, with the nearest goal being the 33rd SEA Games taking place at the end of 2025 in Thailand.
"The Vietnam MLBB team aims to be in the top 4 of the region and strive to win medals," said Mr. Do Viet Hung. The event also noted MLBB's cooperation with streamer Do Mixi (Phung Thanh Do) as a brand ambassador. Do Mixi expressed his hope that this cooperation will help MLBB develop more strongly in the community and contribute to national achievements in the international arena.
VIRESA representative commented that this cooperation agreement not only aims to develop the athlete force but also promotes the promotion and organization of major international e-sports tournaments in Vietnam in the future. This is considered an important stepping stone for Vietnam to gradually affirm its position on the global e-sports map.
In 2024, Vietnamese e-sports achieved many outstanding achievements in both playground construction and competition results. Moving towards 2025, VIRESA and its partners expect to continue promoting international exchanges, developing human resources and building a more sustainable and professional Vietnamese e-sports industry.
