On the morning of August 25th, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Political Bureau, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, received Comrade Ly Tri Dung and his delegation.
During the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang highly appreciated and expressed his pleasure at the positive developments in the relations between the two Parties and the two countries of Vietnam and China in recent times, especially since the official visit to China in late October 2022 by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; both sides actively implemented the high-level common understanding and synchronously deployed measures to promote relations between the two Parties and the two countries in all fields, at all levels and sectors; and proposed that both sides continue to coordinate and effectively implement important bilateral diplomatic activities from now until the end of the year.
Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang introduced some core contents in the Party building work of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Emphasizing the importance of Party building and national governance, both in theory and practice, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang proposed that the two sides strengthen the sharing of experiences, promote cooperation, and exchange experts in this field, considering this an important contribution to the building of socialism in each country; he also suggested that the two sides coordinate to successfully organize the 18th Theoretical Seminar between the two Parties in the near future.
Comrade Li Zhiyong expressed his pleasure at visiting and working in Vietnam, and congratulated Vietnam on its important achievements in various fields.
Introducing some aspects of the Party building work of the Communist Party of China, Comrade Li Zhiyong expressed strong agreement with the suggestions of Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang and wished to learn about the new theoretical achievements that the Communist Party of Vietnam, led by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, has summarized and developed in recent years.
Earlier, on the morning of August 24th, Comrade Hoang Dang Quang, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Deputy Head of the Central Organization Department, chaired a meeting with the delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on issues related to Party building work of each Party. Comrade Hoang Dang Quang focused on introducing the overall goals, main tasks, and specific solutions for strengthening Party building of the Communist Party of Vietnam from the 13th National Congress to the present.
Comrade Li Zhiyong introduced the new theory and ideology of party building of the Communist Party of China.
During the visit, the delegation also held working sessions with several units of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; and visited and surveyed Party organizations at the grassroots level in Ho Chi Minh City.
