Vietnam ESG Awards 2025: Criteria for "bonus points" in science and technology

The Vietnam ESG Awards 2025 assessment criteria continue to inherit the international ESG foundation with 3 fixed pillars: Environment (E), Society (S) and Governance (G). The criteria were built by the Vietnam ESG Awards Evaluation Council based on reference to prestigious international documents and standards on ESG, ensuring objectivity, transparency and comparability between businesses.

Notably, the Vietnam ESG Awards 2025 marks the appearance of an increased criteria group of science and technology, a category that adds "bonus points", reflecting the theme of the Vietnam ESG Forum 2025, "Science and technology and the driving force for sustainable development".

This group of criteria aims to encourage businesses to apply technology, innovation and digital transformation in the ESG implementation process, towards greener and more comprehensive development.

Vietnam ESG Awards is the highlight of the Vietnam ESG Forum. From September 4, the registration portal for the Vietnam ESG Awards 2025 has officially opened, accepting applications from the business community, units implementing ESG or integrating ESG implementation into operations.

Vietnam ESG Awards is a title honoring pioneering organizations in applying ESG criteria. Not only is it a milestone in the development journey of recognized businesses, Vietnam ESG Awards also carries a message to encourage the business community to join hands to build a sustainable future.

The evaluation criteria at Vietnam ESG Awards are divided into 2 sets: basic criteria and advanced criteria.

The basic criteria of Vietnam ESG Awards include 3 main pillars with 20 indicators on each pillar. This criteria set is selected and agreed upon by the Vietnam ESG Awards Appraisal Council, including prestigious experts in ESG and sustainable development, based on international standards for measuring the level of ESG implementation in enterprises. This criteria set is fixed from Vietnam ESG Awards 2024.

Vietnam ESG Awards 2025 is part of the Vietnam ESG Forum 2025 with the theme "Science and technology and driving force for sustainable development".

After the launching ceremony of the Vietnam ESG Forum 2025, many large-scale workshops such as the workshop "Digital transformation solutions and ESG practices - Key to global economic integration" on June 24; the workshop "ESG implementation with AI: What should businesses do?" on August 14 and the discussion "Digital transformation in governance - ESG implementation experience from financial sector businesses" on September 30 were successfully organized. The events attracted a large number of delegates and had many interesting contents.

From now until the end of the year, the Vietnam ESG Forum 2025 will have many attractive activities and events such as seminars, workshops, talkshows, company tours... promising to bring valuable and useful information to organizations and businesses that are implementing ESG, interested in implementing ESG, and aiming for sustainable development.

Last year, the Vietnam ESG Forum with the theme "Sustainable development strategy in the new era" included a series of events and activities, including the Vietnam ESG Awards 2024, which took place successfully, receiving support from the expert and business community.

The 31 units honored at the Vietnam ESG Awards 2024 are all large enterprises with certain marks and results in ESG implementation. After 2 rounds of impartial evaluation by members of the Vietnam ESG Awards 2024 Judging Council, the units honored by the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam ESG Forum were all considered worthy.
