With the spirit of "no Vingroup person stands outside the loss and pain of their compatriots", immediately after Typhoon Yagi and floods swept through some northern provinces and cities, causing heavy damage, Vingroup and companies in the ecosystem immediately arranged 250 billion VND for the Emergency Relief Fund for the victims.

The budget is mobilized from two sources: funds from the Group and its member companies and voluntary contributions from more than 130,000 Vingroup employees across the system.

Depending on the actual situation, the Emergency Relief Fund will be used to rebuild about 2,000 houses for families who lost their homes in the recent storm and flood, supporting from 150 - 300 million for each family that has a death due to natural disasters. The remaining amount will be used to support families with injured people or those with severe damage to crops and livestock, as well as to support cleanup and contribute to the reconstruction of important works and infrastructure serving the people.

Immediately after launching, Thien Tam Fund (under the Group) established a rapid response team, directly dispatched to each locality affected by natural disasters to coordinate the implementation of support plans for the people. In particular, families whose houses collapsed, were completely damaged or had members who died (especially the breadwinners of the family) will be given special priority for support. Not only directly implementing, Thien Tam Fund also cooperated with press units to spread support and resources to the people as soon as possible.

The budget is mobilized from two sources: funds from the Group and its member companies and voluntary contributions from more than 130,000 Vingroup employees across the system.

In addition to 250 billion VND in emergency support, Vingroup also called on its employees to spend their days off with Thien Tam Fund to directly participate in support activities for people affected by natural disasters.

In addition to joining the Group, companies in the Vingroup ecosystem also proactively participated in flood relief from the first days of the storm.

As a leading private enterprise in Vietnam, Vingroup has always been proactive and pioneering in standing side by side with the community to overcome difficulties and challenges such as responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, providing disaster relief, supporting school attendance, providing free medical examination and treatment, and supporting livelihoods for the poor.
