Honoring outstanding journalistic works on agriculture, farmers and rural areas

(Chinhphu.vn) - This is the third consecutive time the National Press Award on Agriculture, Farmers and Rural Areas of Vietnam has been held, with 4 categories: print newspaper, electronic newspaper, radio and television.

Attending the award ceremony were Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Mr. Le Minh Hoan, Party Central Committee member, Vice President of the National Assembly; Mr. Luong Quoc Doan, Party Central Committee member, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Central Committee; Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists' Association ; and leaders of Central and local Commissions, Ministries, branches.

This is the third consecutive time the National Press Award on Agriculture , Farmers and Rural Areas of Vietnam has been held, with 4 categories: print newspaper, electronic newspaper, radio and television.

According to the Organizing Committee, after 1 year of launching, there were 1,866 works submitted to participate in the 3rd National Press Award on Agriculture, Farmers and Rural Areas of Vietnam in 2025 and 481 works and entries submitted to participate in the Writing Contest to learn about the 95-year tradition of the Vietnam Farmers' Association's establishment and growth.

Through a serious and fair review and selection process with many rounds of scoring, from preliminary to final, the Final Jury, consisting of members who are prestigious journalists, experts and scientists, independently scored and selected 45 best works to win awards, including: 3 A prizes, 6 B prizes, 9 C prizes, 15 consolation prizes, and 12 thematic prizes.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Luong Quoc Doan, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Farmers' Association Central Committee, said that the press works on agriculture, farmers and rural areas have painted a picture of the country's strong transformation to enter a new era. In particular, the works have shown a strong picture of "digital transformation" through writing style and presentation in line with the theme of this year's season, which is "Breakthrough in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in agriculture and rural areas".

"The entries also clearly demonstrate the role of the press in monitoring and social criticism. Many articles and programs have analyzed major bottlenecks in mechanisms and policies - from capital, credit, agricultural insurance to the application of science and technology, and made valuable recommendations and proposals." These timely voices have supported management agencies in perfecting policies, removing difficulties for production, thereby contributing to the development of agriculture, the prosperity and happiness of farmers and a modern, affectionate countryside," Chairman Luong Quoc Doan emphasized.
