Vinh Phuc aims for comprehensive development thanks to the model of a cultural village

Model cultural villages built in Vinh Phuc are contributing to changing the face of the whole province, turning this land into a livable place with synchronous, comprehensive and sustainable development.

Recently, Vinh Phuc province has been resolutely implementing the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council on building "Model Cultural Villages" in the province for the period 2023-2030.

Building a "Model Cultural Village" is a major policy of Vinh Phuc to realize the contents of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress on building and developing culture in the new era.

This is also a step to promote the potential and strengths of the locality, attract resources to serve socio -economic development, improve the material and spiritual life of the people, contribute to increasing income and welfare of Vinh Phuc people.

Mr. Hoang Anh, in the model of model cultural villages, people play the role of the subject, both the implementing force and the beneficiaries of the results. The State plays a supporting and supporting role with a system of 16 specific policies approved by the People's Council of Vinh Phuc province. In the immediate future, in the period of 2021 - 2025, Vinh Phuc strives to complete 60 model cultural villages and not overlap with the Program of building advanced and model new rural areas.

The province sets a target of having at least 60 villages built to meet the criteria of a “Model Cultural Village” issued by competent authorities by the end of 2030. In particular, it strives to complete 30 villages by the end of 2025 and 60 villages by 2027 with the following basic characteristics: spatial structure, landscape architecture preserved and renovated, harmoniously combining tradition and modernity; synchronous socio-economic infrastructure; reasonable economic structure and production organization; bright, green, clean, beautiful, safe, civilized landscape environment, rich in traditional cultural identity; healthy, rich cultural and spiritual life of the people, imbued with national identity; clean, strong, self-governing political system.

With the guiding principle of taking people as the subject, the center and the beneficiaries, the model cultural villages all focus on comprehensiveness and sustainability in economy, culture, society, environment and national defense and security; maintaining ecological balance, harmony with nature, national cultural identity; so that people can have a stable, prosperous and happy life.

Thanks to that, the implementation of the "Model Cultural Village" model has received high determination from the entire political system and consensus from the people. After nearly 10 months of implementation, up to now, all hamlets, villages, and residential groups building "Model Cultural Villages" have completed investment in community cultural and sports facilities, achieving at least 50% of the criteria for building "Model Cultural Villages". Cultural and artistic activities, physical education and sports, and education and talent promotion activities have taken place enthusiastically and regularly. People have joined hands to contribute more than 35 billion VND, donated tens of thousands of square meters of land to build cultural and sports facilities and roads, and contributed thousands of working days to build infrastructure, environmental sanitation, etc.

People have registered to implement 93 service and trade business models; 14 homestay and farmstay models and one community tourism spot; 22 production garden models; 100% of districts and cities have disbursed loans to more than 540 households through social policy banks with an amount of nearly 100 billion VND.

It can be seen that in the model of cultural villages, people play the role of the subject, both the implementing force and the beneficiaries of the results. The initial results achieved have contributed to bringing good traditional values associated with promoting the development of tourism, services, traditional craft villages, agricultural products, arousing and promoting the positivity, self-management and creativity of the people, thereby improving people's income, contributing to improving the economic life, stabilizing and gradually developing. The model of such livable villages is and needs to continue to be replicated.
