Wife bursts into tears and "beats" husband for not recognizing daughter returning from Japan

(Dan Tri) - Seeing many people returning from abroad, surprising and bringing joy to their families, Hau also made a secret plan to return from Japan to experience it. She pretended to be her brother-in-law's friend and came to visit, surprising her parents.

At the end of November 2024, Luong Thi Hau (from Thai Binh ) secretly returned to Vietnam from Japan after more than half a year away from home. The 27-year-old girl came to Japan in 2019 and has worked in the food industry in Osaka for 5 years.

Before that, Hau had promised her parents that she would return home during Lunar New Year. However, taking advantage of the time she had to transfer companies and had 4 days off, she decided to buy a plane ticket to return home to surprise her family.

Wife burst into tears and "hit" her husband because he didn't recognize his daughter returning from Japan ( Video : NVCC).

When her parents called and asked, "When will you come back home?", Hau always replied, "I have a week off for Lunar New Year, I will come back." In fact, she secretly booked a flight back home earlier than planned.

The plane landed at Noi Bai, Hau immediately took a taxi home in Kim Trung commune, Hung Ha district, Thai Binh.

"When I was almost home, I called my sister and brother-in-law to tell them the news. I told her the fifth time but she still didn't believe me. She had to ask the driver to confirm that he was taking me home before she believed me," Hau said.

When she got home, Hau put on glasses and a mask, pretending to be her brother-in-law's friend to surprise her. She deliberately did not change her voice, wanting to test whether her parents would recognize her.

Entering the kitchen, Hau teased: "Uncle, are you cooking rat meat?". The man in the kitchen - her father - looked at the strange guest in surprise, then became even more confused when she continued: "I like to eat rat meat, is there enough for me to eat, uncle?".

At the same time, Hau's sister and brother-in-law were arguing back and forth, making the atmosphere in the house somewhat tense. However, her parents remained polite and did not blame the strange guest for his somewhat "inappropriate" question.

The three people stood looking at each other, smiling awkwardly but still no one recognized Hau. She smiled and asked: "You don't recognize me?". Her father hesitantly replied: "Yes".

Next to her, her brother-in-law smiled, while her mother was still focused on stir-frying rat meat on the stove.

At this time, Hau took off his hat and mask, but his parents were only talking to their son-in-law and didn't pay attention. It wasn't until the son-in-law blurted out, "Dad, look who's back," that they both looked up in surprise.

The moment they recognized their daughter, Hau's parents burst into tears. "Oh my god, why did you come home at this hour without telling me?", her mother exclaimed, lovingly blaming her.

Too emotional, she turned around and continuously hit her husband on the shoulder because he did not recognize his daughter. The father vaguely recognized her but did not dare say anything because he thought his daughter was in Japan.

Hau shared a video recording the moment of visiting home on his personal TikTok account. Unexpectedly, the clip received attention from the online community.

The moment the father "froze", not yet recognizing his daughter, made netizens laugh. Many humorously commented: "The father acts like the house is peaceful, why is the daughter coming back?".

"I watched videos on social media and saw that many friends who came back from abroad were surprised because their parents didn't recognize them, but I didn't believe it. This time I came back and experienced it for real, it was both funny and sad.

At first, when I saw my parents laughing, I thought they knew but pretended not to recognize me to tease me. Unexpectedly, they really didn't recognize me," Hau humorously said.

Before that, knowing that moving to a new company would make it difficult to visit home, Hau took the opportunity to visit her parents for 4 days and then returned to Japan in December. During her days in Vietnam, she clung to her mother, sleeping with her mother, causing her father to... be left out.

"Every time I come back home, my parents feed me delicious food. In the morning, my mother buys breakfast, leaves it ready before waking me up, always asking me what I like to eat so she can prepare it. Normally, my grandparents eat together at home, and the meals are frugal, but every time their daughter comes home, they spend lavishly.

My parents always urged me to eat a lot because they were afraid I would lose weight. Knowing that I liked to eat rats, my father treated me to this specialty during the four days he was at home," the girl confided.

After 5 years away from home, for Hau, the moments with her parents are the most important things. These moments have become the motivation for her to work hard, so that she can go home to visit her family at least once a year.
