On the morning of August 26th, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking issued a notice regarding the handling of candidates who scored higher than the cutoff score but had not yet received an admission notification.

The University of Banking Ho Chi Minh City is committed to ensuring the rights of eligible candidates admitted to the university in 2025.
Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking affirms that all candidates who meet the admission requirements for the Law, Economic Law, and Economic Law (partial English) programs will be considered for admission and enrolled at the university in accordance with regulations.
The announcement from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking clearly states: The university's admission principles have been published in the Admission Plan (No. 1920/QD/DHNH dated June 11) and the admission principles in the announcement of the minimum entrance quality assurance score (No. 1122/TB-DHNH-HDTS dated July 23).
For law, economic law, and economic law (partially in English), the minimum admission score is 18 (on a 30-point scale).
For subject combinations including both mathematics and literature, or mathematics and literature, a minimum score of 6 or higher on a 10-point scale is required. For other methods, the scores for mathematics and literature will be converted to their respective 10-point scales.
To ensure that the Ministry of Education and Training confirms admissions before 5 PM on August 30th, the University of Banking Ho Chi Minh City requests that candidates with questions about their admission results send their information to the university's admissions department for timely assistance.
Previously, the Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper reported on the evening of August 25th that on forums for students, many parents and candidates stated they had missed the opportunity to enter the law and economic law programs at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking despite having higher exam scores than the school's announced cutoff.
"The university's sudden adjustment of the admission requirements for these three majors has left many candidates disappointed and unable to get into their dream university. We were caught off guard by this change," one candidate expressed.
