Director of Northeast Asia Department holds the position of Deputy Foreign Minister

Mr. Pham Thanh Binh, Director of Northeast Asia Department, was appointed by the Prime Minister to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs .

Mr. Binh's term of appointment is 5 years. Before that, he was the former Minister - the second person, at the Vietnamese Embassy in China. When his term ended in July 2021, he returned to Vietnam and held the position of Deputy Director, before becoming Director of the Northeast Asia Department.

The current Minister of Foreign Affairs is Mr. Bui Thanh Son. The 6 Deputy Ministers include Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Minh Vu (standing), Ha Kim Ngoc, Le Thi Thu Hang, Do Hung Viet, Nguyen Minh Hang and Pham Thanh Binh.
