The patriotic, revolutionary, and united traditions of generations of cadres and people of Quang Nam, along with the changes in our homeland, are the foundation for nurturing and fostering unwavering faith in the future of this heroic land. We have felt this through many meetings with retired cadres organized by various levels of government. Here are a few thoughts.

1. Originally from Tam Hai island commune (Nui Thanh district), currently residing in Da Nang city, Hero of the Armed Forces Ho Thi Kim Thanh still regularly updates herself on news from Quang Nam .

"Comparing the present to 50 years ago, I see Quang Nam developing a hundred or even a thousand times faster. Just since the province was re-established, everything has developed remarkably, especially the transportation system, ports, airports, hospitals, and schools… This achievement is due not only to the astute leadership of the Party but also to the unwavering support and approval of the people," Ms. Kim Thanh observed.

At 82 years old, with over 60 years of party membership, Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thanh dedicated her entire youth to serving the revolution. At the age of 12, she joined the Tam Ky District Party Committee as a liaison officer.

Before turning 18, she left home to join the resistance in the war zone, working as a nurse while also participating in combat. Later, she worked for the Women's Association of Tien Phuoc District, the Women's Association of Quang Nam Province, and then as Deputy Head of the Provincial People's Mobilization and Front Committee of Quang Nam Province, in charge of enemy-occupied areas…

After liberation, Ms. Thanh held many positions such as Secretary of the Nui Thanh District Party Committee, Secretary of the Tam Ky Town Party Committee, and Member of the Standing Committee of the Quang Nam - Da Nang Provincial Party Committee…

“During the war, Quang Nam was a fiercely contested land, with many losses and sacrifices, but also incredibly steadfast and indomitable. I think the provincial leaders all desire and are determined to uphold that tradition.”

"Personally, I have always believed in the development of Quang Nam, and I have faith in the current provincial leadership team with their keen and insightful thinking, their continuously improving economic and state management skills, and especially their dedication to building a stronger and more prosperous Quang Nam," Ms. Thanh shared.

2. With the achievements of the past 50 years, Mr. Luu Van Chinh - former Secretary of the Tien Phuoc District Party Committee - expressed his hope and belief that Quang Nam will continue to develop even more strongly in the future.

According to him, to realize this goal, at the upcoming Quang Nam Provincial Party Congress, the province needs to select a team of dedicated and capable officials who can contribute to building Quang Nam province and, together with the rest of the country, achieve the goal of a prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, fairness, and civilization.

"We must not only study Ho Chi Minh's ethics and ideology, but also the spirit of our patriotic predecessors. We must strive to uphold moral character and ethics in the process of leading, directing, and managing cadres in the fields of land, finance, etc., to avoid heartbreaking incidents and the loss of key leaders like those that have occurred recently."

"Of course, everyone knows that it's just a few bad apples spoiling the bunch, so after everything, the people still trust the Party and the dedicated cadres committed to building and developing Quang Nam. I think, with that determined spirit, the goal of building Quang Nam into a prosperous province of the country will soon become a reality," Mr. Chinh conveyed.
