On November 4, Mr. Nguyen An, Party Secretary of Hung Son Commune, Da Nang City, said that police and border guards crossed landslides to bring a pregnant woman and three patients to a higher-level medical facility for timely emergency care.
At around 10:30 a.m. the same day, after receiving a report that 4 patients needed to be transferred to a higher level for emergency care, Tr'hy Border Guard Station (located in Hung Son commune) sent a working group of 15 officers and soldiers to coordinate with Hung Son commune police to the commune health station to take the patients to Tay Giang Regional Medical Center.

The patients transferred to the hospital include: Mr. Bling Clôơch (79 years old, residing in Ki'nonh village) with lung disease and difficulty breathing; Mrs. Alang Thi Bhuih (72 years old, residing in Ch'nóc village) with cough and fever; grandchild Alang Quán (3 years old, residing in Ch'nóc village) also showing signs of high fever and pregnant woman Briu Thi Noon (29 years old, residing in T'râm village) who is in labor and about to give birth.
According to the Party Secretary of Hung Son Commune, the road from the starting point at the commune health station to Tay Giang Regional Health Center is about 40km long with many areas seriously eroded. It takes about 4 hours to transport patients.
The leader of Hung Son commune said that provincial road 606 connecting Tay Giang commune to the commune center still has many landslides that cannot be repaired immediately, only motorbikes can travel, cars cannot pass, and many sections must be traveled on foot.
Many villages in this commune are still isolated, but the forces stationed in the commune have walked to all the villages to transport food and medicine to the people.
