Dong Phuc Commune: 01 case of Japanese encephalitis B

On July 28, the local authorities of Dong Phuc commune received a case of Japanese encephalitis B, Ms. Trieu Thi S., born in 1973, in Na Hai village, Dong Phuc commune. The People's Committee of Dong Phuc commune has just issued a document requesting villages and hamlets to strengthen the propaganda and education of community health, proactively prevent and control epidemics.

Mrs. Trieu Thi S.'s health is progressing positively.

According to the medical record, on the morning of July 18, 2025, Ms. Trieu Thi S. was still healthy and normal. On the afternoon of July 18, 2025, she suddenly felt tired. She measured her blood pressure and found it was high. She took blood pressure medication but it did not improve. That same evening, she started to have a continuous fever accompanied by body aches, sneezing, runny nose, sore throat, cough with phlegm... but had no difficulty breathing.

At 2:00 a.m. on July 19, 2025, her family took Ms. Trieu Thi S. to Bac Kan General Hospital for examination and treatment. On the afternoon of July 20, 2025, the patient had a high fever and was lethargic. The patient was transferred to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases on July 21, 2025. After her condition improved, her family took her back to Bac Kan General Hospital for treatment and recovery.

To promptly prevent the risk of the epidemic spreading, the People's Committee of Dong Phuc commune has requested village chiefs to closely coordinate with health stations and related forces to provide information and propaganda to raise people's awareness in disease prevention and control.
