
At 4:00 p.m. on October 27, the water level at Nong Son hydrological station reached 18.00 m, exceeding alarm level III by 3.00 m and continuing to rise.
Entire villages in Que Phuoc commune have been isolated; many low-lying areas are deeply flooded.
To date, the commune has recorded 452 flooded houses, 2 houses with landslides in Xuan Hoa village and 6 flooded schools. Local authorities have evacuated 1,117 people to safety.

Mr. Nguyen Van Lanh - Vice Chairman of Que Phuoc Commune People's Committee said that the local government is focusing on directing sectors and organizations to closely follow the developments of floods and rains, while implementing the "4 on-site" motto. The commune is also proactively arranging forces and means to respond, especially in low-lying residential areas at risk of landslides and flash floods.
Currently, local authorities, villages and shock forces are continuing to gather information, check deeply flooded areas to support people in evacuating and moving property out of dangerous areas, to ensure safety of life and minimize damage.

The commune also deployed guards and checkpoints in heavily flooded areas, resolutely preventing people and vehicles from passing through dangerous areas. At the same time, the commune also prepared rescue plans and plans to overcome the consequences after the water receded.
