The Ministry of Education and Training said it had discussed and asked the Ministry of Public Security to support the verification of the subject who posted false information about the leak of the 2024 high school graduation exam questions.
Specifically, the Ministry of Education and Training said that on the evening of June 25, in a number of groups and forums on the Internet, there was sharing and spreading false information about "leaking the 2024 high school graduation exam questions".
After receiving feedback on the above incident, the Ministry of Education and Training discussed and requested the Ministry of Public Security to assist in verifying the subject posting false information. Currently, the Ministry of Public Security is organizing verification to handle according to the provisions of law.
To avoid causing public confusion and affecting the psychology of candidates taking the 2024 High School Graduation Exam, the Ministry of Education and Training also requests that people not share the above false information.
Acts of posting and sharing false, fake, or distorted information will be handled according to current regulations.
In 2024, the total number of candidates registering for the high school graduation exam is 1,071,393 (an increase of more than 45,000 candidates compared to 2023). Of which, the number of independent candidates is 46,978, accounting for 4.38%. The total number of candidates registering for exemption from the Foreign Language exam is 66,927, accounting for 6.25% of the total number of candidates; the most are candidates from Hanoi with 21,554 candidates; Ho Chi Minh City has 13,076 candidates.
The total number of exam sites nationwide is 2,323 (an increase of 51 exam sites compared to 2023) with a total of 45,149 exam rooms.
The 2024 high school graduation exam will be organized in a basically stable manner as in the 2020-2023 period. Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Training has issued general instructions, with provinces/cities directly under the central government taking charge of all exam organization in their localities. The exam councils will organize the exam on June 26, 27, 28 and 29; mark the exam from June 29; announce the exam results at 8:00 a.m. on July 17, and consider recognizing high school graduation on July 19.
Today (June 26), more than 1 million candidates completed procedures for the high school graduation exam. They will take four exams in the next two days, including Math, Literature, Foreign Language and a combination of Natural Sciences or Social Sciences.
Exam questions and answers for subjects listed as "Top Secret" state secrets will be kept until the end of multiple-choice test time or two-thirds of the essay test time. Candidates who deliberately copy or distribute them will be prosecuted.
Major General Le Minh Manh, Deputy Director of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05), Ministry of Public Security, said on June 20 that he has directed the PA05 department in localities to focus on detecting risks, destroying high-tech equipment trafficking rings used for cheating, and handling people who post false information about the exam.
