The Xiaomi 14 has garnered attention from the tech community as the manufacturer's first smartphone to come pre-installed with HyperOS. According to Xiaomi, the new operating system features optimized memory and file management, and an improved, more user-friendly interface.
Furthermore, HyperOS enhances seamless connectivity between devices within the Xiaomi ecosystem, focusing on security and user privacy. Other features include AI integration for image-related tasks and library management, thanks to the use of a large language model.
In terms of design, the Xiaomi 14 features a square frame, a slim 8.2 mm body with a slightly curved back for better grip. It has a 6.36-inch screen with a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset that supports AI, delivering high performance while saving power. It comes with up to 12 GB of RAM and two internal storage options: 256 GB and 512 GB in the Vietnamese market.
The included 4,610 mAh battery, with the Xiaomi Surge G1 chipset, helps extend battery life and supports 90W fast charging (wired) and 50W wireless charging, allowing this flagship to charge from 0% to 100% in just 31 minutes.
The Xiaomi 14 is priced from 23 million VND in Vietnam.
The Xiaomi 14 also features a camera system co-designed by the renowned photography firm Leica, called Vario-Summilux. This includes a main lens with an equivalent focal length of 23mm, f/1.6 aperture, and 50MP resolution. The two secondary lenses consist of a 50MP telephoto sensor with a 75mm focal length and f/2.0 aperture, supporting optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an equivalent focal length of 14mm.
Thanks to its professional triple-lens system with a focal length range from 14mm to 75mm, the Xiaomi 14 excels at low-light photography, boasting improved color reproduction, contrast, resolution, shooting speed, and image processing compared to its predecessor. The Xiaomi 14's selfie camera has a 32MP resolution and can record video in 4K resolution at 60 fps (frames per second).
Notably, the Light Fusion 900 image sensor, a first for smartphones, significantly improves the light-gathering capabilities of the Xiaomi 14. The light and dark areas of images captured by the Light Fusion 900 sensor are analyzed and clarified more effectively, thereby enhancing overall quality. Combined with a high dynamic range of 13.5EV and 14-bit color depth, Xiaomi claims the device can capture images with true-to-life colors, even in low-light or challenging conditions.
The device supports video recording in the popular 2.39:1 aspect ratio, and comes with various supporting effects such as autofocus and cinematic bokeh. The rear camera can record video in up to 8K resolution, and the integrated four microphones enable 360-degree audio recording.
In the Vietnamese market, the Xiaomi 14 was launched in three colors: Black, White, and Jade Green, with two RAM/ROM memory versions: 12/256 GB and 12/512 GB, priced at VND 22.99 million and VND 24.49 million respectively.
